IHEEM (The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management) is reminding those set to visit, or considering attending, its flagship annual conference and exhibition, Healthcare Estates 2019, in Manchester this year (the event takes place from 8-9 October at Manchester Central), that as part of its commitment to support apprentices in healthcare, attendance is free for any healthcare estates apprentice. This includes those undertaking adult apprenticeships.
IHEEM’s CEO, Peter Sellars, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our budding engineers, and hopefully leaders of the future, to gain valuable knowledge and experience, along with understanding how the Institute can provide ongoing support to their careers and development. Free access will be granted to apprentices to the plenary keynote sessions, plenary theatre, and eight healthcare theatres on the exhibition floor. Transport will need to be arranged and funded by individual organisations. This year’s conference is truly international, with over 80 healthcare speakers representing 18 countries, and upwards of 220 healthcare exhibitors.”
Apprentices will simply need to register as a free delegate via the Health Estates website here: Free Registration Once at the event, apprentices must report to dedicated TB&A Apprentice Zone to collect their token for free refreshments and food while at the show.
