Kerr to chair ‘Rebuilding the NHS’ event

Darryn Kerr, chairman of the IHEEM Education and Conference Committee, is set to chair a one-day event, “Rebuilding the NHS” being run by Health Service Journal magazine on 4 March 2008 at London’s Cavendish Conference Centre.

The event aims to “take a dynamic approach to estates planning and design for a transforming NHS”. According to the organisers ‘‘Doing things differently’ is a deeply embedded concept in this current era of NHS modernisation and improvement – and no less for healthcare estates and buildings. They add: “With a huge potential opportunity to support the delivery of efficiency, wellbeing and new models of care, all levels of management and clinical groups must now engage to maximise that chance.”

IHEEM is delighted to be endorsing this HSJ conference, which has been specifically tailored to deliver the guidance, strategies and transformational tools now needed by those driving forward innovative design and proactive management. Delegates will receive the latest information and ideas on designing for infection control, sustainability and wellbeing, as well as key guidance on flexible space utilisation.

All IHEEM members are eligible for a specially discounted delegate rate of 10% off the full conference cost. When booking they should mention their Institute membership and quote their membership number. There is also a special booking form on the IHEEM website.
