Brandon Medical unveiled “a world exclusive” at Düsseldorf’s Medica exhibition; visitors flocked to its stand for the launch of its new High Definition Medical Lighting (HD LED) technology.
HD LED technology reportedly offers substantially better performance than standard LED. Brandon worked with technology consultant Sagentia to develop the first applications.
The company says its HD LED lighting products, now available in the UK (E-mail: enquiries@brandonmedical. com for details) are the world’s first to offer “the advanced technology” of full spectrum colour rendition, fat beam illumination and red balance control. Red balance enhancement compensates for humans’ “natural weakness” in distinguishing shades of red, while fat beam illumination entails using large, adjustable light beams with more light across the full width of the illuminated area. Other features include infra-red free cool light; shadow control and high energy efficiency. The Brandon Medical lamps are optimised for natural daylight colour temperatures.
