Healthcare facilities can now calculate instantly the savings in both cost and carbon emissions which could be made by installing Elkay energy management products with the company’s launch of the “carboncalc” hand-held tool.
From the information given the carboncalc can provide: existing annual energy usage in kWh; existing annual emissions in kg of CO2; new annual electricity usage and CO2 emissions after fitting of an Elkay energy management product; existing and potential new annual cost of energy; annual potential monetary savings, and annual potential reduction in C02.
Duncan McKinlay, md of Elkay Electrical, said: “The information generated by the carboncalc will be of great value when considering capital investment decisions, as well as meeting the requirements for the Part L Regulations in calculating the energy performance of the building.”
