Award-winning patient handsets

The distinctive handsets, which have recently won a design excellence prize at the BDA Design Initiative Awards, were developed in consultation with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to ensure ease of use for the widest number of disabled people with impaired vision and other conditions.

In addition to featuring “inclusive design” features, the hand units are completely waterproof, while an antimicrobial agent has been incorporated to assist with hospital hygiene and cleaning regimes. Static Systems, which has extensive experience of working on major PFI contracts within the acute healthcare sector, will also show its latest innovations in nurse call systems and bedhead services trunking.
