Analyser accuracy checked

Verifying the inservice accuracy of electrical medical safety analysers is said to be quick and easy with the IEC 60601 Checkbox now available from Rigel Medical.

Rigel says that, while most instrument manufacturers recommend a calibration interval up to which their instrument is expected to perform within specification, test frequency and “ageing” components are common factors that could affect an instrument’s performance at any time.

The Rigel 601 Checkbox is designed to verify the performance of safety analysers between formal calibrations to avoid scenarios where testing may be undertaken with instruments that are “out of true specification”.

Able to generate both AC and DC leakage current, while also offering dedicated F-type circuitry, the device can provide calibrated values for earth, enclosure, patient and “patient leakage mains on applied parts”.
