Facility on target to streamline children’s services

The £4.8 million Oak Park Children’s Services Centre in Havant is being built by Bluestone’s Fareham office for SCS under a Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) Framework Agreement, and is on target for completion next February. The new centre will house a full range of treatment facilities from community paediatrics and physiotherapy, to child and family therapy and adolescent mental health. It will also provide a base for local community staff.

“We are delighted to be working alongside the East Hampshire Primary Care Trust and Solent Community Solutions to deliver these vital healthcare facilities for the local community,” said Bluestone regional managing director, Stephen Scard. “They are important to everyone who lives in the area and will make a considerable difference to people’s lives for many years to come.” Head of children’s services, Jenny Templeman added: “It’s so exciting to see the progress that has been made already and to see the project coming to reality in such a short space of time. This new building will provide an invaluable service for local children and their families who, in the past, would have had to travel to a variety of different places to receive treatment for their very complex needs.
