Following a competitive tender, Radar Healthcare has won the contract to supply Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust with its award-winning risk management and compliance software across the Trust’s five main hospitals and community services.
The Trust will introduce Radar Healthcare to Guy’s Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital, and community services in Lambeth and Southwark. The use of one system for managing risk, quality, and compliance will align with the new electronic health record system due to start in April 2023 to transform the Trust’s processes.
Ashley Parrott, the Trust’s deputy director of Quality and Assurance, said: “We currently have four separate risk management software systems across the whole Trust. We look forward to working with Radar Healthcare to deliver technology which could integrate seamlessly across all of our hospitals and community sites, and that can be designed to suit our requirements.”
In addition to helping Guy’s and St Thomas’ consolidate its processes, the project with Radar Healthcare will help the Trust comply with the Learn from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE) service, and be ‘ready and resilient’ for the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). The Trust hopes the integration of one risk management system will make the lives easier of its 23,000 employees, while allowing it to improve safety for its teams and the 2.5 million patients it provides care for annually.
Radar Healthcare said: “The Radar Healthcare platform has been developed to future-proof healthcare organisations when it comes to meeting regulatory standards. The flexibility allows one single, easy-to-use platform, which is configurable to new processes and frameworks, such as LFPSE and PSIRF.”
Paul Johnson, CEO of Radar Healthcare, adds: “This was a highly competitive tender, and we’re proud to have been chosen by Guy’s and St Thomas’ as its risk, quality, and compliance partner. The Trust didn’t want a rigid, off-the-shelf system. Instead, it wanted a platform and a partnership that could respond to its specific needs, and enable it to transform processes without restriction. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team at Guy’s and St Thomas’, and supporting the transformation of their risk management and compliance processes.”
Radar Healthcare was founded by technology experts, Paul Johnson and Lee Williams in 2012, ‘in response to the changing regulatory landscape, with a vision to make a real difference in delivering positive outcomes and instilling a culture of continuous improvement in healthcare’.
