Hygiene’ without limits’ from thermostatic sequential mixer

Delabie says its H9625 thermostatic sequential mixer is ‘revolutionising the world of water controls’ thanks to its Bioclip function, which allows the interior of taps exposed to bacterial proliferation daily to be cleaned and disinfected.

The sanitaryware and washroom controls specialist said: “Complete internal cleaning remains the only way to thoroughly eliminate the biofilm naturally present in the system and at point-of-use. Designed to meet the need to reduce bacterial proliferation, the H9625 mixer has a smooth interior that limits bacterial niches. It also has a low volume of stagnant water in the mixer body, thanks to the reduced number of components in contact with the water. In addition to a sleek design that facilitates cleaning, the curved spout eliminates water retention that favours the development of germs such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.”

The sequential opening of the H9625 mixer allows cold water to be drawn off without any hot water passing through, while thermostatic sequential technology eliminates the risk of cross-flow between cold and hot water, reducing the need for non-return valves on the inlets, and the need for maintenance. This also removes the need to check that the non-return valves are functioning correctly.

The H9625 uses Securitherm thermostatic technology, which shuts off the hot water supply immediately should the cold water supply fail, and vice versa, eliminating the risk of scalding. It also has Securitouch ‘total thermal insulation’, which prevents users from getting burned by touching the tap or the mixer. The temperature limiter also reduces the risk of scalding by limiting the hot water delivered to 40°C, while the sequential opening and closing with cold water provides additional anti-scalding safety by avoiding opening with very hot or even scalding water set by previous user.

Delabie added: “The Hygiene lever is easy to operate, without the need for manual contact, thanks to the sequential technology that opens the water with a simple rotation of the control knob. This ergonomic and flexible control lever can be used by everyone: hospital patients, elderly people, disabled people, and especially nursing staff. With a drop height of 160 mm, the H9625 is ideal for efficient hand and /or forearm washing before care, even when a Biofil point-of-use filter is installed.”
