The new “Elements Collection” by
Panaz is a fresh and multi-faceted
series of prints intended for
reproduction on a range of flame
retardant basecloths to meet the
furnishing needs of hospitals,
nursing and care homes, and other
areas of volume accommodation.
The collection includes concepts ranging from serene florals and relaxed geometrics to spirited contemporary abstracts, all with co-ordinating plains and semi-plains. This latest generation of fabrics developed by the company’s dedicated Intelligent Textiles Division marries the rigorous demands of infection control teams with those of interior designers and specifiers, incorporating a permanently active antimicrobial agent to eliminate the propagation of bacteria such as E-coli and MRSA.
“Aegis” is a durable and washresistant finish which is bonded to the basecloth, becoming a permanent part of the substrate and remaining fully active for the lifetime the fabric.
Panaz has integrated Aegis into its Shield range, which can now carry “Elements” prints on both sides for use as cubicle drapes, window curtains, blinds and related accessories. Flame retardant to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, in line with current fire safety specifications, Shield repels water and oil-based solutions and is also highly resistant to staining.
