She joins with five years’ retail experience, including in administration, having previously worked as a customer advisor for Halifax Building Society, where she provided administrative support to a branch and its customers. She particularly enjoyed working with the general public, and feels she can transfer her strong “people skills” to her new role supporting IHEEM members.

Her primary role will be to provide administrative support to the chief executive and IHEEM managers. She will also be the secretary for Council, Executive Committee and Technology Platform Committee, and point of contact for the new Authorising Engineers (Decontamination) from November 2008.

Kirsty Phelan lives with her family in central Portsmouth and enjoys music, swimming and travelling.
