Maquet’s stand will feature the company’s VARIOP modular operating theatre, the latest advance in LED lighting, and a unique tool for theatre planning.
The latest models in Maquet’s PowerLED range of lights (see photo) include second generation LEDs. Alongside reducing energy consumption, they have a 40,000 hour life, said to be the longest of any LED light. The high quality, pre-focused light source includes two Maquet-patented innovations – Illumination Management, for “unparalleled” shadow control, and the Flux Stability Program, which maintains a constant illumination level.
Also demonstrated will be Maquet’s OR 3D programme – a software planning tool which displays in 3D the interaction between theatre equipment like tables, lights and pendants, and their position and movement relative to theatre walls. Planners can study the options, see what they are getting, and make necessary adjustments to placing and positioning of equipment.
