Getting the right filter for the right outlet

T-safe is inviting visitors to Healthcare Estates 2023 in Manchester in October to visit its stand, G60, to learn about its new water filtration solutions, designed to overcome tap and filter incompatibility and patient safety challenges faced by NHS estates and IPC teams.

The company said: “Aligning with our theme this year – ‘The Right Filter for the Right Outlet’, we’re proud to present an interactive display of our latest innovations in water filtration, in combination with a curated collection of healthcare tap and basin configurations on our stand. Our experts will be on hand to guide you through the key considerations for selecting suitable point-of-use filters that will not only optimise outlet usability, but also safeguard patient safety by minimising the risk from waterborne pathogen infection.”

T-safe says  the ‘myriad’ of tap outlets and basin styles used in healthcare facilities presents a real challenge to installing a suitable and compatible point-of-use water filter. It added: “The implications of installing a non-compatible tap filter can be significant, and may inadvertently compromise end-user safety. A ‘one size fits all’ approach is therefore not a practical solution. With that in mind, at T-safe we have developed a range of tap filters, each with specific compatibility criteria and complementary bespoke tap adapters, that enable NHS estates personnel to choose the right filter for the right outlet – putting end-user safety and compliance first. Ultimately, compatibility is a critical factor in waterborne pathogen infection prevention, where filters are deployed as a supplementary control measure.”

MD, Stephen McCreanor said: “At T-safe we recognise and understand the challenges, complexities, risks, and nuances involved with water safety in high-risk healthcare environments. When designing this new range of products our goal was to provide practical solutions that optimise outlet usability and end-user experience, and – crucially – products that are complementary to infection prevention and control practices.

“In Manchester you’ll find us on stand G60, right opposite the Water Infection and Control Theatre, where we will be serving refreshments during both days, and hosting a canapé and drinks reception at 4 pm on 10 October. We look forward to meeting you there.”
