Tarkett has developed a number of “intelligent flooring” products it says are ideally suited to healthcare environments.
Tarkett has pioneered surface treatments that can reportedly reduce maintenance costs by up to 50%, while also requiring less energy, water and detergents for cleaning. Tarkett’s iQ homogeneous vinyls (iQ Optima is shown) feature a third generation PUR surface treatment that means “no wax or polish forever”.
Suitable for heavy-traffic areas, the Eclipse Premium range features a colour palette “inspired by society’s increasing concern for sustainability”, while Linoleum xf offers a natural alternative to vinyl flooring, made from renewable materials. Featuring Tarkett’s “extreme finish” surface treatment, it provides “excellent” abrasion, stain and chemical resistance.
With safety critical in healthcare facilities, Tarkett’s Safetred range provides R10 slip resistance sustained throughout the flooring’s life. The Safety Clean PUR-reinforced surface ensures easy maintenance and improved hygiene. Tarkett’s complete wetroom system includes floor and wallcoverings, drains, and accessories.
