Driving ahead with 25-tonne advertisement

Vanguard Healthcare, which provides mobile surgery services to the NHS, is changing its name, and has called in a 25-tonne advertisement to help make the announcement.

Just a week after the company changes its name to Nuffield Health Mobile Services, a sophisticated £1 million mobile operating theatre will be on display at the 2008 Healthcare Estates event in Harrogate, freshly liveried with the new name and corporate colours. The unit is part of Nuffield Health’s national fleet of operating theatres, mobile wards, endoscopy suites and diagnostic units which provide services to the NHS up and down the country.

“It is probably the largest mobile advertising billboard ever to have appeared at Healthcare Estates – and the most expensive,” said Ian Gillespie, managing director of Nuffield Health Mobile Services. “We have a history of bringing something interesting to the show, and having the mobile theatre in its new colours will help to make the point that Vanguard Healthcare is now a fully integrated service within the UK’s largest healthcare charity, Nuffield Health.”

The charity announced its new look, and a “repositioning”, in June (Health Estate Journal – August 08).
