Drax (UK)’s PEATplus software is helping London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) speed up its PEAT assessments and optimise its PEAT ratings.
GOSH had previously used the Department of Health’s (DH) PEAT form in hard copy, before manually inputting the information into the DH’s web-based return every quarter. While only one annual statutory assessment is actually required, Great Ormond Street’s desire to maintain its reputation as a clean, efficient and comfortable care environment has seen it undertake assessments quarterly. These traditionally take up to 10 people up to five hours to complete.
PEATplus has speeded the process by providing a medium for putting results directly into an IT system and producing meaningful information from the data in a useful, readily recognisable form.
The software is designed to eliminate the demands on staff paperwork, collation and analysis. The data collected is processed and delivered as reports tailor-made to each Trust’s requirements.
