Handheld hard to resist

Engineers responsible for safety of patient treatment suites and medical diagnostic rooms now have available an easy-to-use test instrument compliant with the latest medical electrical installation requirements.

Available from Cropico, the handheld DO4002 digital ohmmeter enables facilities managers and electrical service engineers to undertake the earthing and equipotential bonding tests required by the Medical Electrical Installation Guidance Notes (MEIGaN). These require measurement of resistance between each protective earth terminal, socket outlet, or every accessible metal part and the earth reference bar, in patient environments.

The DO4002 has a lightweight design, single push-button test operation, and large direct reading display. Its battery power means readings can be taken without risk of earth leakage currents from the main power supply interfering with resistance measurements.
