With a focus on delivering flooring solutions that provide significant downtime reductions, Forbo Flooring Systems has ‘refined and refreshed’ its Modul’up adhesive-free sheet vinyl collection.
With the addition of new designs and colourways that it says benefit from its ‘innovative digital printing capabilities’, the range is said to be ‘ideal’ for healthcare and education refurbishments. Available in an acoustic and compact version, Modul’up joins Forbo’s Fast Fit flooring collection of ‘trusted’ adhesive-free flooring solutions. The absence of adhesive reduces installation time by as much as half. Forbo said: “Floors can be walked on immediately after installation, while the flooring can easily be lifted up and reused or recycled at its end of life.”
Forbo’s Sarlon acoustic vinyl is also part of the update. Its ‘advanced acoustic technology’ reportedly ensures superior impact sound reduction, while its robust construction is said to deliver the lowest residual indentation for an acoustic product.
Both Modul’up and Sarlon will now be available in 81 colourways, including a series of contemporary woods, materials, and concrete aesthetics, with many of these designs created using Forbo’s digital printing capabilities – ‘ensuring a realistic and high-quality finish, with little to no repeated patterns on some colourways’. There are also acoustic versions available for both the Sarlon and Modul’up ranges, offering 15 dB and 19 dB impact sound reduction, while both contain 20% recycled content, and are 100% phthalate-free.
Forbo’s ‘Back to the Floor’ scheme allows installation offcuts to be returned and re-used within production.
Donna Hannaway, head of Marketing, UK and Ireland, from Forbo Flooring Systems, said: “We understand the heavy time constraints that our customers and end-users can face, especially when it comes to flooring refurbishments, and the need to ensure that the building or interior space isn’t out of action for longer than necessary.”
