A lease finance arrangement has enabled Manchester’s Trafford General Hospital to introduce the Jonmaster ultra microfibre trolley cleaning system and reduce reliance on chemicals and disposable items.
A package prepared by Siemens Financial Services and JohnsonDiversey has allowed it to spread the equipment’s cost via fixed payments over three years without capital expenditure. “We felt a lease was ideal because it gives us a lower overall fixed cost over the contract length with a number of options at the end,” said Kerry Hill, assistant facilities manager, local facility management service, Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust. “Over time we expect a cost saving because we will be using fewer chemicals and disposable tools.” Jonmaster is claimed to be the only system proven to remove 99% of bacteria from hard surfaces. Ultra microfibre cleaning tools (pictured) are reuseable and, when laundered in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines, are guaranteed for at least 500 washes.
