Fast-reacting radiant panels

Promised from Zehnder’s new “Carboline” radiant heating and cooling panels, which comprise copper tubes embedded into a graphite panel, is “extremely even heat distribution with exceptional controllability”.

Said to capitalise on graphite’s natural properties – light weight, high thermal conductivity and high corrosion resistance – the panels “set a new standard in efficient temperature control”. The patented thermal element is placed into a sheet steel casing, and it is the combination of materials, and assembly method, that “guarantees” even heat distribution and controllability. The panels’ lower mass rate and “excellent conductivity”, meanwhile, ensure they react immediately to room temperature changes, providing the “consistently comfortable” environment required in hospitals and care homes, and lower running costs. The Carboline can also operate at lower water temperatures, enabling use of renewable energy sources such as solar, ground source, and air source, heat pumps.
