Following Health Secretary Alan Johnson’s commitment to improve the safety and security of NHS staff, 30,000 lone workers are to receive i750 Identicom lone worker alarms.
The devices, manufactured and supplied by Connexion2, are being rolled out by Reliance, which says it is providing the NHS with a lone worker protection package for under 33p per day. Reliance will provide “a total package” including device supply, training, 24/7 manned monitoring, and service desk support.
