Bosch Security Systems has extended its range of PS (Personal Security) pagers with its new PS-Transceiver, which offers, all within a compact, mobile unit, a push-to-talk speech function that lets users speak to individuals or to a group of people simultaneously.
Operation is “user-friendly”, with features including a redial function and an easily accessible address book. The push-to-talk button can also be programmed to perform a quick dial function for quickly contacting an individual or group. Other features include immediate push-to-talk voice contact, fast messaging with “acknowledge”, and manual and automatic alarm functionality with location detection Manual and automatic alarms include “man-down”, “no-move”, and a “fast-move” alarm, while a tear-off alarm can be activated by users in panic situations or when the mobile is being grabbed. Like the rest of the Personal Security range, the unit features embedded RF-based location detection, enabling response teams to be directed quickly to an incident scene.
