CIAT Ozonair’s new Coadis Medical Comfort – a compact, discreetly designed air conditioning and treatment terminal unit – is said to be the market’s first “comfort unit” specifically designed for hospital rooms.
Featuring an all-in-one diffusion system that allows installation in suspended ceilings in hospital room entrance corridors, saving floor space, the system incorporates CIAT’s “Purify” function. This eliminates the harmful effects of PM 2.5 fine particles in three ways: via a filter capable of reducing PM 2.5 particulates by 90% in 30 minutes; through protection of the air inlet to avoid intake of bacteria present in suspended ceilings, and via thorough mixing of the air, and optimised, uniform diffusion of treated air, within the room. The ambient environment is thus protected against urban pollution, poorly maintained ducting, and releases of construction materials. A “condensatefree” function eliminates the potential risk of bacterial proliferation due to water retention in the drain pan.
