Exhibiting on stand M38 alongside Dyson, PHS Waterlogic, and Advanced Hygienic Contracting, BioCote offers equipment, instruments and furniture featuring built-in antimicrobial protection.
BioCote-protected products shown will include the Dyson Airblade hand dryer; Waterlogic mains-fed water coolers, and BioClad, a PVC wall cladding system from Advanced Hygienic Contracting. At 2.15 pm on 27 October BioCote microbiologist Richard Hastings will give a conference presentation on reducing cross-contamination in healthcare environments via use of limited antimicrobial products. Examined will be several environmental studies, and their findings’ implications for infection control and decontamination strategies. Incorporated during manufacture, BioCote silver ion technology is said to inhibit the surface growth of bacteria, such as MRSA, Acinetobacter, Legionella, and E. coli, and mould, by up to 99.99% in just two hours.
