The Vernacare Technical Services division will be officially launched at Healthcare Estates 2009, where the company will also unveil a full-size prototype of its radical new easy-clean porter’s chair.
Vernacare Technical Services promises to demonstrate its “strengthened new national engineering provision”, offering value for money, professional servicing and maintenance solutions for a wide range of healthcare equipment – from Vernacare’s own macerators to assisted baths, mobile hoists and ceiling track hoists. The new porter’s chair (HEJ – June 2009), which Vernacare plans introducing to hospitals next year, has been designed with infection prevention, as well as comfort and functionality, in mind. Durable and comfortable, it is designed to be easy to clean and to feature fewer “touchpoints” where infection can be spread. Other products shown will include Vernacare’s Vortex macerator. Features include an automatic anti-bacterial deodoriser, hands-free, lid opening mechanism, manual emptying override switch, and a self-diagnosing LCD display.
