Static Systems Group will have two stands, one (M1) specifically dedicated to fire alarms, and the other (M27) giving visitors a “sneak preview” of a future single bed ward.
Being shown publicly for the first time (on stand M1), the new series900evo alarm system has a design said to reduce the complexity of site installation and commissioning by introducing “computer motherboard principles”. “The result is a pre-configured and tested circuit module housing unit, which easily docks and connects with the fire alarm panel”. The new system also “more than doubles the loop capacity” of Static Systems’ previous successful system, providing the platform to enable integration with many other facilities and systems, such as nurse call, fire dampers, air sampling, and other IP-based systems. The second Static Systems stand will house a “concept ward” featuring the company’s latest nurse call and bedhead services alongside advanced concepts in ward design and systems integration – including full connectivity of the bed to provide “status”, exit alarms, and nurse call. Marketing director Phil Wade explains: “These features, along with automatic nurse presence, two-way speech via IP, and patient entertainment, should stimulate debate on how technology might assist nursing management, patient care, and safety, in such an environment.”
