The Institute is staging three one-day seminars on managing medical gas systems within healthcare premises over the next two months. Being held in London on 13 October, Birmingham on 17 November, and Newcastle on 24 November, these will cover topics including:
• A contractor’s view of applying HTM 02- 01 Part A.
• Development of medical gas policy for use in healthcare premises.
• The IHEEM voluntary register for Authorising Engineers (MGPS).
Mike Arrowsmith, HEJ’s technical editor, will commence proceedings with an introduction to the subject, while other specific subjects covered will include “HTM 02-01 – Part B: Roles and responsibilities”; gas conservation; material selection in medical gas systems, and fire safety.
