Altro claims to be helping to reduce the spread of superbugs at James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston, Norfolk.
A new 22-bed infection control escalation ward has just been completed at the site as part of the James Paget University Hospital NHS Trust’s ongoing campaign to enhance infection prevention and control techniques. Eight single rooms and two and four-bedded bays will enhance facilities for isolation and treatment of those with infections as and when necessary. The entire department is finished in Altro Whiterock, a semi-rigid PVC wall cladding with “superb hygienic properties”. With no grout or cracks, the seamless finish gives fewer areas for bacteria and moisture to accumulate. It is easy to clean and will withstand the Trust’s rigorous daily deep clean programme.
