IHEEM raised £2,629.78 at the 2009 Annual Conference in Harrogate for the Help for Heroes (H4H) charity, which supports wounded service personnel.
Among the funds’ uses will be to boost H4H’s efforts in providing grants to create a series of regional “recovery houses” UK-wide as the last stage of rehabilitation before a serviceman, or woman, returns to their unit or civilian life. IHEEM conference manager Gemma Smallwood (third from right), who is pictured presenting a cheque to members of the 32 Royal Artillery Regiment and H4H county coordinator Carolyn Balfour (far right), said: “I would like to thank all those who so generously donated, and Captain Allie Stocker for her H4H presentation at the IHEEM conference dinner.”
