IHEEM’s London branch recently hosted a lecture on “ceiling-mounted radiant heating in the healthcare sector”. Branch chairman John Crawford said: “We were delighted with the presentation from HCP, which explained both how radiant heating panels work, and how they can be easily installed.
Advantages such as freeing up floor and wall space, increasing space flexibility, and reducing the crossinfection risks and maintenance requirements traditionally associated with wall-mounted radiators, were explained.” A Fellow of IHEEM, and a consulting engineer at the Richard Stephens Partnership, John Crawford has, since becoming branch chairman on 21 April last year, successfully introduced new venues and numerous visits, encouraging more members to participate in branch activities. The London branch meets at the King Henry VIII Hotel, Bayswater on the second or third Tuesday of the month, and at the Tolworth Hospital, Surbiton for the Surrey Discussion Centre section on the first or third Wednesday of the month.
