Chloride, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) and services, has completed the acquisition of AES (Alternative Engineering Systems), which provides generator service and supply in the Republic of Ireland.
Dublin-based AES supplies units and provides planned and reactive maintenance across various market sectors, ranging from retail to healthcare. Derek McCann, managing director of AES, remains with the company, and will continue to be responsible for all technical and commercial activities. He said: “The takeover by Chloride is an extremely positive move for us and our customers, and the first of its type in the Irish market. The ability to cross-sell UPS and generator maintenance will provide us with good opportunities to grow the business.”
