Four theatres, two new and two refurbished, at London’s famous Royal Marsden Hospital, have been equipped with over 40 medical storage trolleys, including a number of bespoke designs, from wire, aluminium, stainless steel, and chrome shelving supplier Bedford Shelving Director Mark Walsh said:
“We are delighted to have worked with such a high-profile customer, which has an award-winning reputation for dedicated cancer treatment. We were asked to supply 43 medical storage trolleys and these were assembled and installed ready for deep cleaning two days before the new theatres’ opening.” Part of a major redevelopment of the hospital’s Chelsea facility, the theatres will allow staff to undertake more all-day lists for major and intermediate surgery and ensure less invasive surgery, as two of them feature ceiling-suspended wireless integrated operating systems. Boasting a 174-year heritage in the wire and shelving industry, Bedford Shelving recently opened a new 1,000 ft2 showroom, supported by a significant on-site manufacturing operation and factory, in Brighouse, Yorkshire.
