Specialist consultancy NIFES was established over 55 years ago to advise the UK’s energy users on ways to improve efficiency, but today offers a significantly wider service portfolio.
Its range of services broadly covers four main areas:
• Energy: expert advice on energy efficiency, including renewable energy; the Carbon Reduction Commitment, “and more”.
• Engineering, design and management: delivery of services engineering, design, and project management services, for all mechanical and electrical applications (photo shows a theatre refurbishment at Dumfries Royal Infirmary, where NIFES was lead consultant, M&E designer, and construction, design, and management co-ordinator).
• Property appraisal and asset management: providing property condition and compliance surveys, estate strategy development, health and safety, and environmental assessment.
• Training: to help reduce energy consumption, improve knowledge, and enhance efficient operation of equipment and save money.
