Pick Everard has been appointed as technical advisor to the South Midlands Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) project. One of the 51 NHS LIFT schemes across England, the South Midlands projects will be in Northampton (£27 million) and Corby (£9.7 million).
Pick Everard’s role will look at the suitability of land or sites and advise the Primary Care Trusts on the procurement of the schemes. The company will also help to evaluate bids and assess both the capital and future maintenance costs of any sites and buildings being proposed.
As a multi-disciplinary practice, the Pick Everard technical advisor team will include quantity surveyors, architects, civil engineers, environmental engineers and facilities management specialists. Associate and lead technical advisor at the company, Alastair Hamilton, said: “We have been involved in many NHS and healthcare projects and are delighted to have been awarded this commission.”
