A Malvern-based plastic moulding company has secured a significant contract with Welsh Health Supplies to supply clinical waste ties throughout the Welsh region.
Talisman Security Products won the contract in “a highly competitive tender situation” open to organisations throughout Europe. The three-year agreement will see it supply its BT28 product, specifically designed for safe closure of clinical waste bags. The bag tie enables the secure transport of clinical waste, while printing with a hospital name and a unique “2 alpha, 5 numeric” reference code affords “excellent traceability”. “The contract will see us fulfil a requirement for many millions of ties,” said sales and marketing director Steve Turner.
