Testo has upgraded its thermal imaging camera range, with all models now offering improved thermal sensitivity (NETD) and a TwinPix image overlay feature when images are viewed on a PC.
Testo, with its specialist experience in measurement technology, says it can now offer the best thermal sensitivity in the thermal imager detector class of 160 x 120 pixels. With an NETD of <50mK for the Testo 881, and <80mK for the Testo 875, the thermal imagers are claimed to provide the highest thermal sensitivity and image quality in their price sector.
With image overlay TwinPix, Testo’s PC software, IRSoft Testo, offers an additional analysis function for image processing. The thermal imagers, with an integrated digital camera, store an infrared image and a real image simultaneously. By setting marking points which correspond in the infrared and real images, the images are overlaid exactly. Even scenes with measurement objects at different distances can be blended without difficulty.
With the professional imager overlay TwinPix feature, the two images are superimposed over each other in the PC software. This “picture on picture” feature makes it easier to visually identify anomalies. The additional function enhances understanding of thermal images, and aids professional reporting.
