Innovation with the end user in mind – The Panaway with Hands-Free Opening and Autostart from Haigh.

Haigh Engineering is an established name in the provision of bedpan disposal technology for the healthcare sector, and is proud of its reputation for continuous improvement, innovation and quality. Haigh invest heavily in R&D in order to continually meet the changing needs of their customer base, resulting in ongoing product innovations and enhancements.

Building on the already successful range, Haigh have developed their latest, award-winning bedpan disposal unit in their Sluicemaster range.  Tackling the increasing need for user friendly devices on the ward, Haigh believe the Panaway with hands-free opening and autostart sensor directly meets the needs of Infection Control nurses on the ward.

Meeting the increased need for efficiency, the fast cycle time – disposal of up to four pulp products in 85 seconds – makes it suitable for the busiest ward. Energy efficient, it uses only 16 litres of cold water, with no need for electricity to heat the water.

Complete with Bugban®, antimicrobial built in, it has a wipe clean exterior, and allows your patients to benefit from a new, clean bedpan every time with the added benefit of total peace of mind from greater infection control.

Nick Dale, Healthcare Division Manager comments “The success of the Panaway lies in its simplicity. Often products are over engineered, and we have to consider that whilst they may be exceptionally strong from an engineering and technical standpoint, none of this matters if the end user finds them difficult to work with. Our Panaway with hands-free opening and autostart function delivers the outstanding engineering credentials that the market expects, but with built-in usability.”

Continuing to deliver outstanding performance in hospitals throughout the UK, it is backed with a full three year parts and labour warranty as standard, with the option to extend to 6 years for a one off payment.
