Develop Training has further added to its training centre portfolio with the launch of a new Electrical Training facility in Swindon, extending the range of courses on offer to healthcare customers in southern England.
The facility was officially opened recently by Rod Tompsett, the company’s executive chairman. Among guests attending to view the site, and learn about the training offered, were staff from some of the UK’s largest facilities management companies, including Serco, Norland Managed Services, and EMCOR. “Considerable investment” has been made in the new 2,000 ft2 “electrical annexe”, located near the company’s current training centre in Frankland Road, Blagrove. A substantial package of high and low voltage practical demonstration equipment will allow provision of healthcare-specific Electrical Authorised Person training to complement Develop Training’s existing range of Mechanical Authorised Person courses. The venue also houses training facilities for decontamination and sterilisation, pressure systems, mechanical and electrical installations, water systems, “confined spaces”, and health and safety.
