Notifier by Honeywell says its new Opal fire detectors are “designed to cut the cost of ownership”, and offer “improved efficiency”, by providing customers with the flexibility “to incorporate more devices on the loop”, and power them more easily.
The latter feature is attributed to an “inherently more efficient” digital protocol. Manufactured in “pure white”, the detectors incorporate a deeper chamber, with multi-criteria variants designed to improve detection across multiple fire types and enhance resilience to dust particles, thus reducing false alarm risk. As part of the pre-launch development, the detectors, which also incorporate automated loop mapping for shorter installation time via improved fault finding, have been successfully tested in all Notifier’s European premises.
