A good showing of delegates was present at Carrow Road, Norwich at the recent re-launch meeting of the IHEEM East Anglia Branch (HEJ – June 2010).
After welcoming all present, IHEEM recruitment and membership manager Chris Parker gave a brief presentation on IHEEM membership, some of the initiatives currently being developed within the Institute, and the proposed future for the local branch. Static Systems’ Phil Wade then gave a highly informative presentation on the recently published HTM 08-03 – Bedhead Services document, which replaces previous guidance, highlighting some of the key differences, and the resulting challenges for both suppliers and users. Drawing on his many years’ experience in the industry, dealing with both public and private sector customers, he was able to share what he felt was best practice and pass on valuable insight. The branch’s next meeting will be on 15 September at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, when Vanguard Healthcare will examine “Use of mobile facilities in healthcare settings”. All local members will receive full details, but those wishing to register an interest in attending should contact Chris Parker, at chris.parker@iheem.org.uk
