Two new antibacterial decorative coatings specially formulated “to help cash-strapped health Trusts prevent the spread of superbugs in their facilities”, and simultaneously “deliver cost savings by significantly extending redecoration schedules” have been launched by Crown Trade.
Crown Trade Steracryl Anti Bacterial Scrubbable Matt and Durable Acrylic Eggshell are, the company claims, not only proven to provide effective antibacterial protection, but also designed for maximum durability in heavily trafficked areas, and will retain their “just painted” appearance even when subjected to intensive cleaning regimes. Both incorporate SteriTouch antimicrobial additives “which employ the natural sterilising properties of silver”. All SteriTouch additives are FDA and EFSA-approved for food contact.
