A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of IHEEM who has spent his entire professional career within hospital engineering has been appointed as general manager by SHJ Hospital Pipelines, a supplier, installer, and maintainer of medical gas pipeline systems, associated alarms, and condition monitoring equipment to both the NHS and the independent healthcare sector.
Steve Lees has held senior positions in the NHS and the independent health sector, operating both within the UK and overseas, as well as with a number of leading FM organisations. His particular focus has been on the larger capital schemes, including many of the first and second generation PFI schemes. In recent years he has primarily operated at the interface between the constructor and the FM provider, focusing on durability, maintainability, and whole-of-life costs. SHJ Hospital Pipelines’ HTM 02-01- compliant services encompass technical advice, consultancy, design, installation, testing and commissioning, plant hire, plant repair and replacement, maintenance, and servicing.
