The IHEEM Annual Conference at Healthcare Estates will open with a keynote address by David Flory CBE. In “The Future Direction of Healthcare” the Deputy NHS Chief Executive will give delegates an insight into the new way forward for the NHS.
Mr Flory joined the DoH as Director General of NHS Finance, Performance and Operations in 2007, having served as Chief Executive of North East Strategic Health Authority. He was awarded a CBE in the New Year's Honours list in 2008.
On the second day of the Conference, Blair L Sadler will discuss ‘The Economic Benefits of Designing Optimal Physical Environments’. A Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and a member of the faculty at the UCSD School of Medicine and Rady School of Management, he has provided consultancy on building optimally safe and low-stress hospitals through evidence-based design in Australia, Norway, Canada and the UK.
