This year’s Healthcare Estates will be the first in the event’s history to be held at Manchester Central (formerly known as GMex), and, to give you even more reason to attend, we are pleased to be extending the “earlybird” discount deadline for conference registration to 17 September.
For more details on the discounts available, visit www.healthcare-estates.com or telephone Kate Neilson: 01892 518877. One of the event’s major goals this year will indeed be to offer delegates even better value-for-money. In this vein, we are delighted to confirm, as keynote speaker on the conference’s opening day, David Flory, deputy NHS chief executive. His presentation, “The Future Direction of Healthcare”, promises some fascinating insights into future health sector trends, and their potential impact on those running and maintaining UK healthcare facilities. On day two, the keynote speaker will be Blair Sadler, a senior Fellow at America’s Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and a well-known advocate of evidence-based design. This year’s exhibition will feature some 190 suppliers – an unrivalled opportunity to see the latest equipment, technologies, and services for creating and maintaining effective, efficient treatment environments. More broadly, Healthcare Estates is now widely viewed as the place to hear the latest estates and facilities management news, make new contacts, network, and get up-todate with the latest thinking and policymaking. The 2010 event will again feature a Sustainability Centre, as well (with the conference incorporating a “Facilities Management” stream for the first time) as a “Focus on FM” area, supported by the Healthcare Facilities Consortium under its “Focused FM” brand. Also incorporated will be free-to-attend “Healthcare Showcases”, at which visitors can learn about new products and services in greater depth, discuss technical issues, and question suppliers on specific functions and applications.
Meet the teams Staff from IHEEM and Health Estate Journal will be on hand to meet visitors. The following pages highlights some of the key show features and most interesting innovations set to be shown, and incorporate an exhibitor list and floorplan to help delegates get the very most from their visit. We look forward to seeing you there. Hugh Robinson Exhibition Director
