A provider of retail catering and convenience outlets in travel locations, SSP has franchise rights to brands including M&S Simply Food and M&S Café, Starbucks, Burger King, and Delice De France, while its own-brand stores include Upper Crust, Caffè Ritazza, Whistlestop, Pumpkin, and Camden Food Co.
SSP has now introduced several of these brands to the healthcare sector, beginning, in 2009, with the launch of M&S Simply Food, M&S Café, and Whistlestop, at St George’s Hospital, Tooting, closely followed by M&S Simply Food and M&S Café at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, and the opening of M&S Simply Food, Whistlestop, and Pumpkin, at Reading’s Royal Berkshire Hospital. Plans are well advanced to open further units at hospitals countrywide.
