Claiming that every year in Europe 5% to 12% of patients contract a nosocomial infection, Douglas Delabie has developed the BIOCLIP removable mixer range – designed to combat bacteria proliferation and prevent infection spread.
The company explained: “Bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa thrive inside mixers and taps. BIOCLIP mixers and taps prevent the spread of these germs on the outside, and the inside, of the spout.” The BIOCLIP mixer with removable brass spout is supplied with a second spout to ensure continuity of use during disinfection of the first. Alternatively, the brass spout is replaceable with a disposable spout made from recyclable Hostaform. Removable from its base for full disinfection, the BIOCLIP range has smooth internals, while electronic models feature an anti-bacterial duty flush that operates every 24 hours after the last use.
