A “new generation” of medical vacuum plant, said to offer increased performance and usability, plus an advanced control system that provides remote live monitoring and SMS text and email alerts, has been co-developed by BeaconMedæs and Atlas Copco.
The equipment’s user friendliness is reportedly enhanced via an “easy-tooperate” central plant controller with 5.7” colour display, while, with a smaller footprint – thanks to a modular pumpmounted frame – and easy access to serviceable parts, the mVAC plant provides “better usability and easy maintenance”. As standard each motor control panel and the ES (electronic sequencing)–Vac central controller can be connected to the hospital’s computer network. Live plant status can be monitored from any PC terminal. Optional additional hardware enables sending of SMS text alerts and email to user-programmed contacts.
