Secondary glazing systems designed, manufactured, and installed by Selectaglaze are used in laboratories, cleanrooms, and general areas including wards.
Effective frame and seal design “markedly reduces airborne dirt and dust flow”, while a wide glazing material choice provides “significant levels of thermal insulation and security protection”. Selectaglaze is Secured by Design-licensed, with products attack-tested at the Loss Prevention Certification Board achieving the demanding SR2 and SR3 levels of standard LPS1175 now required in some facilities. Thermal efficiency assessments through the Centre for Window Cladding and Technology, and sound insulation tests at the Taywood Laboratories, demonstrate that, when glazed with low emissivity glass, insulation levels will exceed the requirements of Part L, plus noise insulation of 45 dB or more.
