The Guarantee Against False Alarms (GAFA) which Siemens Building Technologies Fire Safety offers with its latest Sinteso fire detectors will be a key focus.
The detectors reportedly combine fast response and high sensitivity with “unmatched discrimination against false alarms”. Under the GAFA’s terms, should one be responsible for a false alarm leading to a firebrigade call out, Siemens will, “subject to simple conditions”, financially compensate the user. Siemens will also explain its Capital Release scheme, which it says allows healthcare organisations to upgrade existing fire protection installations without capital expenditure. The company upgrades the existing installation to Sinteso equipment and leases it back, enabling the owner to immediately benefit from the GAFA.
