New partnership represents ‘the next level of intelligent estates management’

With a newly-announced partnership with facilities management specialist Generating Solutions Group (GSG), and a “unique” dual stand at this year’s Healthcare Estates exhibition, Vanguard Healthcare is set to introduce what it says is “a truly unprecedented service offering” to the UK healthcare sector.

Under the partnership – which will see Vanguard’s provision of sophisticated mobile units supported by GSG’s dedicated logistics, facilities management (FM), and engineering services – public and private healthcare providers UK-wide will be presented with “the next level of intelligent health estates management”, according to Vanguard CEO Ian Gillespie.

“The economic climate demands a greater transparency and collaboration between companies, with a greater focus on cost-efficiency than ever before,” he explains. “This partnership, and the level of service that we are able to provide, represent a different, smarter way of working, encouraging efficient practice between our two companies, and providing the ultimate cost-effective solution for our customers.”

Vanguard’s fleet of mobile surgical facilities – reportedly the world’s largest of its kind – has already earned “national acclaim” among both NHS and private healthcare organisations as “a flexible, proven solution” to many of the challenges faced by the modern healthcare sector.
The company’s provision of state-of-the-art mobile facilities has, for many UK NHS Trusts, been instrumental in them being able to smoothly implement major refurbishment projects. By offsetting any reduction in capacity, and establishing effective interim services, many hospitals have been able to maintain a high standard of patient care and ensure the efficiency, safety, and compliance of surgical facilities while such projects take place.

Ian Gillespie explains that, supported by the new partnership, Vanguard will be “perfectly positioned” to deliver the quality, productivity, and outcomes currently being sought after in the NHS.
“Healthcare providers are looking for innovative, flexible, and cost-effective ways of achieving quality outcomes,” he said, “and with the total solution provided by our combined services, we will be able to provide the ultimate offering of flexible healthcare to the benefit of both providers and patients.”
Duncan Jones, MD of GSG, said: “Exhibiting together at Healthcare Estates is the perfect opportunity to launch the partnership in earnest, and to explain the benefits that can be gained from such close collaboration. Not only do we add value to each other’s business, but we are able to provide a service greater than the sum of its parts – one that will become a beacon of best practice for others across the sector,” he concluded.
